Harris Technology

We compiled millions of records from GlobalData's proprietary topics, employment, transactions, and patents databases to determine the most active businesses in the aerospace and defense industry in the field of artificial intelligence.

According to our study, Leidos and Boeing are among the firms most positioned to capitalize on potential artificial intelligence disruption in the aerospace and defense industries.

The evaluation is based on GlobalData's Thematic Research ecosystem, which assesses organizations on a scale of one to five based on their chances of tackling issues like artificial intelligence and emerging as long-term winners in the aerospace and defense sector.

According to our analysis, the companies best positioned to benefit from artificial intelligence investments are Leidos, Boeing, L3 Harris Technologies, Airbus, ManTech International, GE, AECOM, Perspecta, and Bechtel, all of which received five-star ratings in GlobalData's Defense Thematic Scorecard.

Harris's past

Harris Technology, which describes itself as one of Australia's top dealers of technology to small and medium enterprises, was bought by Coles Myer in 1999, and nine Harris Technology Business Centres were taken over. In 2005, the enterprise was absorbed by Officeworks, and its distribution center was "embedded" into an Officeworks fulfillment center.

Harris Technology's SMB specialization earned them a reseller partnership with Dell in 2009, which included Dell PC maintenance. It also became a Telstra distributor and teamed with Engin to offer hosted VoIP along the road.

Harris Technology had had more than ten corporate technology centers, but by the end of 2010, that number had dropped to five: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, and Perth. By the end of 2012, only one Harris Technology Business Centre remained.

Software, printers, ink and toner, projectors, tablets, networking gear, digital cameras, point-of-sale devices, and storage are all available from Harris Technology and Officeworks.

HP, Microsoft, Adobe, Lenovo, Brother, Toshiba, Samsung, Asus, and Sony are among the brands represented by Harris Technology.
